What’s love?

So my friend and I had a debate over what love is. I let her go first as she said that we must love ourselves first before we can love others. True indeed. What’s my take on love? I believe that love is all about feelings. Like what the priest said during his homily “you can’t see love, but you can feel it.” So that led us to the next question, what are feelings? Between the infatuation phase and love, where is the medium? We both agreed that feelings inevitably fade for your significant other. But that doesn’t mean you love them any less, or you want to be with them any less. That just simply means your feelings have changed, but your love remains.
